On the 8th Day of Christmas..

I'm sssoo sorry for the lack of posting. I'm gearing up for a craft show on saturday and am just a tad stressed to the gills.

This will be 1 item I am selling.

The poem that I am taping to the bar of fudge says:
Dashing from the malls
With groceries yet to buy,
Lessons, work and housecleaning,
Life's so crazy! Why?

Bells on our telephone ring,
The machine will take the call,
We have not time for family or friends,
It drives us up the wall.

How are you? How's your life?
We really want to know.
Hope you're ready for Christmas,
Now maybe it will snow.

A day or two ago,
We thought we'd make a treat,
For all our special friends-
A Christmas gift to eat.

Our intentions were top notch,
But our schedules would not budge,
Hence, here's this year's edition
Of homemade Christmas Fudge¦

Today's special: 10% off any Christmas stamp set!

On the 7th Day of Christmas

Sorry about not posting yesterday, time just escaped me!

Reindeer Food:

The back says:
Just a Sprinkle on the lawn at night.
The moon will make it sparkle bright.
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam,
This treat will guide them to your home.

After a craft fair last year, I had a couple of bags left and handed those out to coworkers who had children and grandchildren. Well this year, they and others came to me to order some! Isn't that wonderful!?

Should you want to order any, they retail for $1.50. Feel free to email me with your order.

Today's special: receive 10% off any Christmas stamp set!

Thanks for looking!

The 6th Day of Christmas

Alright ladies, I am halfway through my 12 Days of Christmas.

The infamous UGG Boot! HHHhhmmm...I don't know how convinced I am myself about it. I tried keeping the sole ofthe shoe flat but I'm thinking the roundedness of the toe doesn't do it justice.

I'll be giving this to my mom with this gift card holder in it.

This is a basic trifold card with my dimensions being 5-1/4 x 10-1/2, scored at 3-1/2and 7.

I used From the Kitchen Of to create my gift certificate and instead of using one of the categories from that set, I opted for She's All That.

The gift certificate is valued at an afternoon of shopping with moi, lunch and $x's. Hope she likes it because I do!

The 5th Day of Christmas

Hello!

So sorry about no post yesterday, I had intended on uploading something when I got back from work but we ended up going to see Max Payne and time just escaped me!

I'll continue with the countdown today. I'm uploading this picture first but come back later to see my UGG boot!

A couple of things first. I got the template here, free! My intention had been to put a CD or something similar into it but it really is too small, which disappointed me a tad but this will be perfect for giftcards!

Seriously, I'm always a tad let down when I find a giftcard inside a card. I want a pretty box, something to open and this is a great alternative and it only uses 1.5 pieces of cardstock.

My special for today is: buy all 6 in-color ink pads and receive 1 ink pad free!

Thanks for looking!

The 4th Day of Christmas

This is my 2nd post for today, so scroll down if you'd like to see my submission for Kristina's Color Challenge!

Talk about being on a creative spree. I feel like I've been going non-stop which is funny because I wanted a break from classes, etc. this month!

I'll be in a craft fair next weekend and in November, these went like hotcakes! So, I figured I'd create a whole other family of patties.

Meet Santa's Family! Santa, a very helpful elf and Rudolph.

and this is how I will be packaging them!

Did you notice Rudolph's nose? Yup, glittered!! I used retired Dazzling Diamonds, it really adds that certain touch to him. His antlers were made using the tabs punch.

Very cutesy and great gifts for those coworkers who you aren't super close with.

My special today is: buy any of the punches and coluzzle and you'll receive 10% off your total. Just a small reminder that I need all orders submitted to me 8 PM Eastern time.

Thanks for stopping by!

Kristina's Challenge #33

It must be something about this weather because recently all I've wanted to do is hole up in my craft room and create.

Thanks to Kristina, we, creaters, are allowed to utilize her graphic for these fun color challenges so this was the inspiration.

This is what I came up with. I had this very distinct vision of what I wanted to create but new that nothing I had at home would do so I stopped at Archivers on my way home today.

I picked myself up some paper and stickers from Sassafrass Lass yet hardly used any of it! The flourish I drew by hand and then pierced. I think one of these tags is missing with a sentiment. Hhhmmm...something else to add to the wish list!

oooppppssss...I'm just now realizing that my very vanilla is actually supposed to be certainly celery. wtf!? how did i miss that?! can i blame it on my work computers poor monitor? oh well... c'est la vie.

I'm thinking of saving this card for Vday and using it for my man. I like the heart and how that girlies it up but the colors are so very manly.

Thanks for looking!

The 3rd Day of Christmas

Have a stash of left over ribbon and not quite sure what to do with it? how about a ribbon topiary!

I used all the scraps of real red, chocolate chip, whisper white, very vanilla and wasabi ribbon to make my tree.

Fairly simple, I started off by painting my terracotta pot in gold. While that was drying I wrapped chocolate chip ribbon around dowel. The most time consuming part was probably the ball. Oh. My. Word. I think it took me about 4 to 5 hours!

But it's cute and I get plenty of compliments on it!

Today's special is: buy $25 worth of ribbon and receive a pack of Designer Brads free!

Don't forget I need all orders in my inbox by 8 PM tomorrow night. I will hold off on ordering to combine shipping until the 13th!

Thanks for looking!

On the 2nd Day of Christmas

I dont know about you but I have yet to start my Christmas shopping and to gather all my thoughts, how about a handy dandy Christmas organizer?

On the inside, I have a pocket for every item I need to plan for.

The first pocket, I have calenders dating from October through December.
The second pocket, should have had my card list in it but I left it at work.
The third pocket has my gift lists.
The final pocket holds my envelope for all my receipts.

The great thing is that whenever I head out the door or I am sitting down to figure out what I still need to get, I'll have everything in one location!

My special for today is: buy any 2 Accents and Elements, receive a pack of glue sticks free!

Thanks for looking!

The 12th Day of Christmas

Gosh, I'm so sorry for this late post!

I was hoping to have this up by 8 but unfortunately that didn't happen. Without further ado....

I know this calender circulated splitcoaststampers last year but I just never got around to making one. This past weekend as I was gearing up for my 12 Days of Christmas blowout, I figured this would be a great way to start it off! This project took me a good 4 to 5 hours to complete but once it's done, you won't have to worry about creating another one for quite a while.

My special for today is: buy 3 packs of DSP and receive 1 pack of regular 8.5 x 11 cardstock free!

This promo is only valid until tomorrow night at 8 PM and only through me.

Should you be interested in any of the other promo's I will be offering, I can hold onto your order until then and combine shipping.

See you tomorrow!

Another Kristina Challenge

Hello Ladies!

I hope you all had a very fun, joyous and filling Thanksgiving. I know I did and will be over at my in-laws today finishing off that turkey.

Although I knew what I had wanted to do with this challenge I must admit time totally flew by and while I was getting ready to head out for some sales today, remembered I hadn't created my card yet so to the drawing board I went.

These were the color's we were supposed to play with.
and this is what i came up with.

My base cardstock is an 8.5 x 5.5 piece folded in half to create my standard A2 size card. Along the bottom I stamped polka dots in Real Red. I then adhered my sticky cut letters across the top, peeled off the backing and poured dazzling diamonds over them. You'll notice that on the 'T' is a tad of white, well.... that is where my 'M' overlapped the 'T' and the protective layer didn't remove. Whereas if you look at my last 'S' on Christmas, you'll notice the top swoosh of the 'S' is missing and thats because when I removed the 'A's protective cover, it took part of the 'S' with it. Tricky tricky I tell you! I then wrapped a piece of satin black ribbon around the bottom and adhered with a silver brad. Although this card was a tad time consuming, definately NOT a mass producable one, I really like the look of it and a good gf of mine will be receiving it.

Happy Birthday Amanda!

My co-worker has birthday tomorrow and what stamp set says young, hip and cool? She's All That.

I don't know about you but I struggle with longer images, so we really only have two options. Either a 3x6 card or a 4.25 x 5.5 card with a top crease.

I started off with a 4.25 x 11 in basic grey cardstock folded in half. I stamped the word celebrate from Celebrate Everything on the cardstock using my stamp-a-ma-jig. I then cut a piece of real red dsp and layered that upon a piece whisper white piece which I punched with scallop edge. I stamped She's All That with Versa-Mark and then embossing with clear embossing powder. I rounded the corners and added some retired DSP which I held together with a rhinestone brad from the Pretties kit. I popped this up with dimensionals.

I love it! Reminds me of my private school days...

Thanks for peaking!

The Deets:
Stamps: She's All That (retired), Celebrate Everything (109525)
Paper: Basic Gray (108692), Whisper White (100730), Real Red DSP (retired)

Beate's Weekend Sketch

I love the winter. It just makes me want to hole up in my craft room and create.

A friend of mine recently found out she was pregnant and although I already congratulated her, there is nothing like receiving a handmade card.

I based my card off of this sketch. You'll notice that I altered my card a tad compared to the sketch, but lets start with the basics.

Since the pregnancy is still early and they won't be knowing the gender of the baby anytime soon, I wanted some paper which would be gender neutral. I wanted something fresh and fun and chose this paper from American Crafts and since I love pink chose my cardstock based off of the flower found in the paper.

My base layer cardstock, Cameo Corral, is 8.5x 5.5, folded in half to create a standard A2 card. Now, instead of having a longer panel, I stamped the left hand side of the card with a stampset from MS. I love the certain oommpphhh it gives it. I then layered the AC paper onto Summer Sun cardstock punched with the scallop edge. I took some retired In Color ribbon from last year and looped that around the Summer Sun layer and slid it through a flower ribbon slide. Now, I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of acetate, adhered sticky tape onto the left edge and adhered that to the ribbon. I added the final element, which were the flowers, also from AC, put a flower brad through them and popped up on dimensionals to the card.

I absolutely love this card(!) and will be sad to see it leave!

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Absolutely Fabulous (109493)
Paper: Cameo Corral (100475), Summer Fun (103124), American Crafts paper, Acetate

Kristina's Color Challenge #30

Woooohoooo...thanks to the extension of the deadline I was able to submit my card for the weekly color change. I usually end up posting after Kristina has already disabled Mr. Linky.

This weeks color combination is: chocolate chip, elegant egglpant, pumpkin pie, so saffron and whisper white.

and this is what I created:

I used So Saffron as my cardstock with the SAB chocolate chip rub-ons (now retired) running up along the side of the card. I added purple and orange brads as the center of two of my flowers, and stamped the sentiment in Whisper White craft ink.

An easy peasy 5 minute card and one that will probably receive many oohss and ahhs.

Kristina Werner's Color Challenge #28

I love unique colors and even more than that, I love bringing out retired stamp sets and being able to find a new use for them.

Here
is the inspiration. What do you think?

The whisper white layer was stamped with sage shadow. The stamp was positioned with the Stamp-a-ma-jig so that it would appear as one straight line.

This was then layered on to sage shadow paper which was paper pierced. The sentiment is a rub-on from Eastern Elegance, now retired.

A piece of Regal Rose ribbon is attached to the backside of the sage shadow piece which is popped up on Stampin' Up! Dimensionals and adhered to the pumpkin pie cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by and come back this weekend to see what my coworkers received for Halloween.

Have a good one!
